These new classes are for young people who are serious about art. Each week we will introduce new techniques. There will be objective looking where we will pay close attention to a still life or a landscape. We will look at colour theory and put it into practice by mixing colour and seeing how colour works in context with other colour. We will explore mark-making using various materials. We will stipple, sponge, daub, scratch, wipe, smudge, rip and repair our materials opening them up to change and experimentation. We will look at the world of imaginative picture-making, exploring our minds and memories, and doing so while looking at the various formal traditions that have been passed down to us. What is Cubism? What is Impressionism? What is abstraction? Let them find out all this and more at our new art classes for dedicated young people. Includes guest tutors. Tuesdays 4pm - 5.30pm With Lizzie Hall This class takes place at: North Yorks Art School 2-4 South Street Scarborough YO11 2BP Includes all materials and refreshments. This class is suitable for children aged 7 upwards, however older teenagers may opt to come along to some of our other pay-as-you-go sessions and children 14 years+ can attend some of our courses and workshops. Emergency contact details should be provided in case of an emergency. All North Yorks Art School Young Artist tutors and support staff are DBS checked as part of our onboarding process. Cancellation Policy
Cancelations and Rescheduling You can reschedule a bookaclass.org event up to 2 weeks before the commencement of the event. bookaclass.org will transfer your booking to an alternative date and provide written confirmation of the cancelation and new booking. You can cancel a bookaclass.org event up to 2 weeks before commencement of the event. bookaclass.org will process a full refund for the event which will be made to your original payment method and can take 3-5 business days to process. Cancelations within 2 weeks of the event will not be refunded, however bookaclass.org will look to reschedule you onto a future bookaclass.org event. This option is at the discretion of bookaclass.org. Your Right to Cancel If you are a customer living in the United Kingdom or the European Union you have the right to cancel your contract to purchase services from us within 14 days of purchase without giving notice. The cancellation period will end 14 days from the date of purchase when you purchased a service.
