Do you love wearing hand knitted socks but don’t have enough time to make them for everyday of the week! Come learn a new way to knit socks. Begin with a pre prepared knitted sock tube and learn to an afterthought heel, toe and cuff. An afterthought heel is quite different to the usual heel flap and gusset, but nonetheless is a perfect fit. There are so many ways to knit a sock. This one takes all the work out of knitting the main body of the sock, and is a lot of fun. Your sock draw will be filled in no time! You will choose a hand dyed knitted sock tube that’s been cranked on a sock knitting machine using Ivy & Lilly yarn. This yarn is perfect for socks, machine washable super soft merino & nylon mix. There will be many colours to choose from on the day, including contrast colours for heels and toes and cuffs. A full days workshop where you will learn new skills:- - How to use a 9” small circumference Sock Needle - this will take practice and an open mind to learn this skill. - Remove waste yarn, pick up stitches, add knitted toe and 1 x 1 rib for cuff.with stretchy bind off - Measuring and working your own foot size. - Cutting the sock tube and insert an afterthought heel into the correct place - Work extra stitches into each side of the heel so no gap is left. - Kitchener stitch up your toe You will complete one sock, we may not finish the other, but you will leave with comprehensive workshop notes to help you complete the other. Cancellations and Rescheduling You can reschedule a bookaclass.org event up to 2 weeks before the commencement of the event. bookaclass.org will transfer your booking to an alternative date and provide written confirmation of the cancellation and new booking. You can cancel a bookaclass.org event up to 2 weeks before commencement of the event. bookaclass.org will process a full refund for the event which will be made to your original payment method and can take 3-5 business days to process. Cancellations within 2 weeks of the event will not be refunded, however bookaclass.org will look to reschedule you onto a future bookaclass.org event. This option is at the discretion of bookaclass.org. Your Right to Cancel If you are a customer living in the United Kingdom or the European Union you have the right to cancel your contract to purchase services from us within 14 days of purchase without giving notice. The cancellation period will end 14 days from the date of purchase when you purchased a service.
