Judith, a local professional glass artist, is passionate about introducing people the joys of glass design, and sharing her knowledge, which can be addictive!! Using her own glass designs, and images for inspiration, she will discuss the materials and processes used to create the different designs. You will be provided with a cut square glass base, and all the materials and equipment you need. Judith will guide you through the different stages, with demonstrations and directions so that you can create your own unique pieces. You don’t need any artistic skills, or be able to draw or paint, and you will be surprised at how creative your pieces are. Templates will be available, you are very welcome to bring your own ideas, and Judith, is always delighted to help with your designs. Your designed will be fired in her kiln, and returned to the centre for you to collect. The workshop is suitable for beginners and those with some experience. You can bring an apron if you wish, and protective gloves and glasses etc. will be available if you need them.
