Join Catherine Edwards learning to make a simple but beautiful pair of handsewn slippers. Learn to cut your own patterns to the size you require, and use them to trace onto top grade unwaxed leather, then cut out and mark up for stitching. You will be using the traditional Saddlers’ two-handed sewing technique to stitch your slippers together and add a small heel. With your finished slippers as a size guide, create your own envelope-style storage bag using super soft suede and attach a hand-rolled leather toggle to fasten. The making process is completed entirely by hand using genuine leatherworking tools including vintage and antique pieces from the tutor's own collection. All materials provided, lunch included. Please provide shoe size and the colour you would like to make from the following selection at the time of booking: Ecru, Light Grey, Charcoal, Purple, Fuchsia, Turquoise, Teal, Red, Marmalade, Green. A sample of the colours available is shown below. Cancelations within 2 weeks of the event will not be refunded, however bookaclass.org will look to reschedule you onto a future bookaclass.org event. This option is at the discretion of bookaclass.org. Your Right to Cancel If you are a customer living in the United Kingdom or the European Union you have the right to cancel your contract to purchase services from us within 14 days of purchase without giving notice. The cancellation period will end 14 days from the date of purchase when you purchased a service.
