In this workshop, taught by Rebecca Stevenson, you will create two different items of silver jewellery to take home with you in just one day. You will be provided with all tools and materials required to make an ‘open ring’ design using 2mm diameter round silver wire and a pair of stud earrings in a design of your choosing made using 10mm by 20mm silver sheet. You will have time to explore a range of techniques on a base metal before deciding on your final design. Within the workshop, Rebecca will guide you through a range of tools and processes allowing you to try texturing metals, forming metals, soldering and of course finishing techniques to complete your wonderfully polished outcomes! Rebecca has a BA Hons in Jewellery and Object and has had the opportunity to learn from a range of fantastic exhibiting jewellers and makers during the course. Rebecca is also a teacher of Design Technology so can put those without experience at ease so that the workshops are enjoyable for all. Rebecca has been running silver jewellery workshops for both adults and teenagers for several years within North Yorkshire. If you intend to make your ring for someone other than yourself, please attend with their ring size, or the internal diameter of a current ring, if ring size is unknown. This workshop is suitable for adults and accompanied teenagers. No previous experience is required. The cancellation period will end 14 days from the date of purchase when you purchased a service.
